Whenever I can, I try to get away with eating dessert for breakfast. As delicious an idea as this sounds, my stomach doesn’t always thank me for the jolt of sugary goodness first thing in the morning. A smoothie like this is the perfect compromise – it tricks my mind into thinking I’m having a delectable sweet, when actually it’s full of goodness that keeps me feeling satisfied.
Apple Pie Smoothie:
- 1/2 apple, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 cup quick oats
- 1 tbsp. nut butter of choice (peanut is my personal fave)
- sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg
- 1/2 cup water, some ice cubes (3-4)
