Cuba, Briefly

So, I promised some photos, but I’ll make it brief so as not to rub it in too much (plus, I really just didn’t take that many photos! It seems that I’m getting to an age where I prefer to actually enjoy my trips rather than constantly try to document them….sorry, Instagram). Have you ever been to a tropical destination? Did you love it?

These gorgeous, 50s cars were everywhere. I was surprised to see that there were a fair amount of newer cars, too, but not by brands that I had heard of.

The ocean was seriously this colour. Beautiful, blue-green…absolutely stunning. It sparkled! The reason for this was a coral reef, which was about 1km off the shoreline. We were able to go snorkelling there, although I'm not sure if I would go again - I feel like it's detrimental to the reef to have people bouncing around in it all the time. Even though you're not supposed to touch the coral, maybe people do, whether accidentally or on purpose. It was an interesting learning experience, however!

The classic Corona shot was practically BEGGING to be taken. My date and I lounging was the best part of the whole trip!

Thanks, Elaine! Yes, the experience in and of itself is becoming much more significant to me. Maybe I’m getting old. Lol
