I know, I know. What the hell have I been doing lately? I’ve been totally MIA, and it’s inexcusable. Except….it’s just been so damn nice outside. Like, gorgeous. Like today after work I just went and read outside for an hour and a half, soaking up some Vitamin D and feeling like all was right with the world….except in the book I was reading, because it’s The Shining by Stephen King. It’s a good read. I highly recommend it.
I also went to Kingston with my BFF, and enjoyed the coffee seen above. Among other things. Mostly, it was both a culinary and historical adventure for me. I want to go back and eat ALL THE THINGS.
I know I’ve discussed previously my issues with all things anxiety – and this past winter, I’ve been trying to sweat out as much of that as possible through going to the gym. So….this is what I’ve been doing….
I’m kind of impressed with myself, to be honest. I’ve got goals for this summer! Do you? Here’s what I’ve got in mind:
1) Keep on keepin’ on with fitness. Stuff seems to work, and I love it! I want to set a new maximum weight for deadlift. When did this stuff become a priority for me, right? Weird.
2) Maintain hair health. Now that I’ve chopped it all off, it’s a whole new ball game when it comes to taking care of stuff. It curls differently, it soaks up conditioner differently…let’s make this a healthy hair summer. And this hopefully means protecting it from the sun more than last year (although the sun brings out the BEST, most vivid shade of red on me).
3) J is coming home from Mexico in 12 (!!!!!) days and I CANNOT WAIT. I can’t even properly articulate how excited I am about this. He’s been gone since the end of January and frankly, my goals this summer are to spend time with his sweet self and rediscover the area we grew up in. Historical tours? Don’t mind if we do!
4) Remember to take my vitamins. Most days. Seriously, I have like, a ridiculously difficult time with this.
